Terms of Service - Unblur

Effective date: November 14, 2025

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Unblur. By using Unblur, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Unblur helps you audit landing pages and run lightweight comprehension tests. You submit URLs and prompts, we capture screenshots and HTML, run AI analysis and scoring, and display results. For tests, you can create a public link to collect human responses.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be 16 or older and able to enter a contract. Keep your credentials confidential and you are responsible for all activity on your account.

3. Your content and licenses

You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant Unblur a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, process, display, and create derivative works from your content solely to provide and improve the service.

4. Public test links and tester data

Public links can be accessed by anyone with the link. Do not solicit sensitive data. You are responsible for distributing links lawfully and for any required notices to testers.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to violate laws or third party rights, submit content you lack rights to process, probe or disrupt our systems, bypass rate limits, or upload prohibited categories of data unless we agree in writing.

6. AI output

AI outputs are generated and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Use your own judgment before acting on recommendations.

7. Plans, billing, renewals

Paid plans bill in advance and renew automatically until canceled. Features and prices may change with notice. Taxes may apply. Refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law.

8. Payments

Payments, billing, tax calculation, invoicing, and chargebacks are handled by Polar as our merchant of record. We do not store full card numbers.

9. Privacy and data protection

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and is incorporated by reference. If you are in the EEA or UK, we process your data under the legal bases listed in the Policy and rely on the EU SCCs and, where applicable, the UK Addendum or IDTA for international transfers. If we do not have an establishment in the EU, we will appoint an EU representative as required by GDPR when our targeting of EEA users brings us in scope.

10. Intellectual property

Unblur, including software, models, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and our licensors. These Terms do not grant you IP rights except a limited right to use the service.

11. Feedback

If you send ideas or suggestions, you grant us a free, transferable, sublicensable, irrevocable license to use them without restriction.

12. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or risk harm to the service. After termination, your license ends and we may delete your content consistent with our retention practices.

13. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unblur will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or use. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of 100 USD or the amounts you paid to Unblur in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability.

15. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold Unblur and our affiliates, officers, agents, and employees harmless from claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

16. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Courts located in Cape Town, Western Cape have exclusive jurisdiction, unless another venue is required by mandatory consumer law in your country.

17. Consumers in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer rights under local law. You may lodge complaints with your local data protection authority.

18. Support

Support is via email and the in-app feedback widget, both routing to support@unblur.build. We aim to respond within 2-6 hours during business hours.
